History

Formed in 1988, Andover-based Perfect Bore specialised in Honing and Superfinishing. Following two years of rapid growth it expanded into Gundrilling, moving to larger premises in 1994 and gaining ISO approval in the same year.

Perfect Bore was acquired by the Dover Group, a US conglomerate, in 2001 but in February 2004 once again reverted to private ownership.

PERFECT BORE has gained many approvals as preferred suppliers for
Honing, Gundrilling, Deep Hole Boring and Super-Finishing within this global market place. PERFECT BORE has also introduced a ‘Total Manufacture’ option; increasing it’s manufacturing footprint from 6,000 to 15,000 sq foot, although it believes its’ main strength and the maximum value it can provide to its customers are 1st stage machine operations and bore production.   

Over the past 2 decades there has been continuous investment in
machinery, tooling, fixturing, training & people. Its investment in machining and tooling alone would be in excess of £5 million today; this coupled with the experience of PERFECT BORE’s staff and the constant research and development it embarks on enables the company to maintain it’s standing as the number one choice to aerospace manufacturing suppliers.
